Prices and quotations

How much does plastering cost per m²?

The price depends on surface, substrate, preparation, construction of plaster layers, desired finishing and accessibility. A repair in a furnished room is not the same as a large empty floor. Ask for a price with separate meters, including work and a total VAT included.

How do I calculate the surface?

Measure per wall width times height and for a ceiling length times width. Note openings, niches and sides of window and door openings separately. See how gross and net meters are applied in the quotation.

Are wall meters the same as living space?

No. The floor area is a different size. Walls are measured with width times height, ceilings with their own length and width. Keep both numbers separate.

Are doors and windows being pulled off?

This depends on the agreed method of measurement. Note openings separately and take sides of window and door openings with you. Please agree in advance how they are processed in the gross or net surface.

Are materials and primer included?

That must clearly indicate the offer. Ask for a description of preparation, selected products and the final layer, so that you know what belongs to the package.

Is painting always included?

No. Pleisterwork, primer and paint are separately named work. paint-ready does not mean that the wall is already painted. Speak the entire follow-up finish.

What VAT is applicable to sturders?

According to the Tax Administration, plastering of qualifying houses over two years old falls under 9% VAT, including preparation and materials used. Other renovation items may fall under 21%. Please specify the applied rate per component.

How do I compare two offers?

Check the same meters, preparation, materials, desired finishes, protection, painting and VAT. Ask for explanations on exclusions and setting posts and compare the totals.

Why is a small job per m² sometimes more expensive?

Fixed operations such as transport, protection and cleaning remain necessary. Therefore, ask for a small repair of the full amount and the included work.

How do I prevent unexpected additional work?

Make the scope concrete and discuss possible hidden damage. Let additional work record with price and planning before they are carried out.

Finishing and substrate

What is the difference between paint-ready and wallpaper-ready plaster?

paint-ready connects with painting; ready to be painted on wallpaper. The concrete requirements are discussed with the chosen end material and lighting. Thin wallpaper, paint gloss and light that falls along the surface can make small differences visible.

Can old paint layers stay in place?

This is assessed on adhesion, condition and suitability for the new system. A fixed-looking paint layer is not automatically an appropriate substrate. Also report pollution, adhesive residue and previous repairs.

What is skim coating?

Skim coating describes a thin finish or equalization on a suitable substrate. It is not automatically sufficient for large deviations in flatness or a loose old layer.

Is decorative plaster with a twist pattern the same as sanding?

No. decorative plaster with a twist pattern is a decorative finish with a characteristic pattern. Sanding is afterworking with sanding material. When applying, indicate the desired appearance.

Is plaster in a bathroom waterproof?

This follows not only from the word plasterwork. The complete system structure should be suitable for the moisture zone, with appropriate sealing and connections. A decorative, seamless appearance is no proof of waterproofness.

Should wallpaper be removed first?

Lets determine which layers should be removed for the chosen system. wallpaper and adhesive residues can influence the preparation. Tune your own removal work and let the free wall be assessed.

How is a tear repaired?

First, it looks at cause and stability. A local repair is not automatically a solution for continuous movement. Afterwards, repair construction and follow-up are agreed.

Can loose pieces of plaster be over-sculpted?

An insufficient bearing layer must first be assessed and treated appropriately. An additional layer on top of a loose substrate does not dissolve the adhesion.

What is light that falls along the surface?

light that falls along the surface along a surface and highlights small height differences. Windows, LED strips and wall spots can cause this effect. Discuss the final lighting when choosing the desired finish.

How do I prevent visible seams in a plaster ceiling?

A suitable substrate, assembly and joint construction are the basis. Let the plate type and system be assessed. A new finishing layer does not dissolve movement or wrong fixing automatically.

What layer thickness is required?

This is determined by substrate, flatness and material regulations. Thin finish work and extensive surfaces have different goals. Ask which structure fits the actual wall.

Can I get plastered over tiles?

This requires assessment of existing adhesion, construction and future load. Separate tiles or a moisture problem do not disappear under a new layer. In wet zones, the entire system should be appropriate.

What happens after a leak?

The cause and moisture state are first addressed and assessed. After that, it is determined which old parts should be removed and how repair and painting work connect.

Can local repair remain visible?

Yes, colour, grain or structure may differ. Discuss whether to restore locally is sufficient or that the entire vision surface is refinished. Take the follow-up work into the scope.

How do I maintain decorative plaster?

Use the instructions of the concrete product. Store colour, grain and system data and ask for permitted cleaning agents. Review damage before updating large areas.

When do I pick a test surface?

For specific colours, decorative patterns, high vision expectations or special lighting, a real test surface is useful. Capture what is judged on it before the entire wall is executed.

Preparation, drying and execution

How long does new plaster take to dry?

There is no fixed period for all homes. Product, thickness, temperature, ventilation and other building moisture play along. Follow the conditions of the materials used and let the suitability for the follow-up work be assessed.

When can I paint new plaster?

If the substrate is suitable for the chosen paint system. Check dryness, load capacity, dust and suction and tune primer and paint together. Only a light color of the wall is not a complete assessment.

Can I send images with a quote request?

Yes. Send an overview per space and details of structure, damage, seams and connections. Specify what needs to be finished and avoid unnecessary personal information on the image.

Can I make an application without exact measurements?

Yes. Specify that the area is still unknown and describe the spaces with images. The sizes and final scope are then adjusted.

How do I prepare the room?

Choose which furniture and parts should be removed and who protects the floor. Describe fixed cabinets, light points and limited working space. Remove old layers yourself according to pre-arranged procedure.

Can you plaster while the apartment's occupied?

This depends on spaces, protection and planning. Specify which rooms remain in use and which walking route should remain available. Practical possibilities are discussed per request.

Can a dehumidifier speed up the process?

Use forced drying only according to the conditions of the chosen system and after alignment with the performer. A device does not replace an assessment of the final substrate.

You guys work on my zip code?

Send zip code, house number and a description of the work. The location is assessed together with size, accessibility and planning. A working area page is a place to prepare the application for that place.

What's part of the delivery?

Check the agreed planes, details and end levels. Note improvement points with location and image and tune drying and follow-up. Save material data and aftercare instructions.

Can I set a start date right away?

Pass on your desired period of time. The feasibility depends on scope, substrate, access and other work. A date will be tailored to the situation assessed.

You want me to clear out a room?

This depends on the work and the agreed protection. Discuss which furniture and parts should be removed and which running and working space is needed. Ask for a specific division of tasks before starting.

Can I prep myself before the craftsman arrives for plastering?

Do this only after matching the exact product, the substrate and processing. A wrong product or incorrect application can cause additional work.

How do I describe a luxury finish?

Make it concrete with color, shine, structure, lighting and details on window frames and ceilings. An appropriate example or test surface helps more than just the word luxury.

Why are images from up close and far useful?

An overview photo shows the space and connections. A detailed picture shows structure or damage. Together they support an initial assessment, although an on-site inspection may remain necessary.

What if after removing wallpaper damage becomes visible?

Report that damage before continuing work. Let it determine what is needed and record any impact on price and planning.

Can I install a kitchen right after plastering?

Match the order with the performers involved. Mounting, moisture load, accessibility and the suitability of the substrate must fit the chosen materials and work.

How do I choose between local repair and an entire wall?

Look at both the technical condition and the visual image. Color, grain, aging and lighting can keep a local repair visible.

How do I use the price indication on the site?

Choose a finish and fill out a global surface. The result is a multiplication of the published m² band width. The final quotation follows from your situation and the agreed work package.
